Additional Information:

  • CVESD Talk (formerly the CVESD Speech Contest) this PDF  for more information: The objective of the theme, Looking Forward, is to have students think about what ideas could spring from a discussion about the future. We encourage teachers and parents to discuss the theme with students to help them think about what it means to “look forward.” More information will be coming in a separate email, for now, please know that we are looking for more conversational style speeches instead of the traditional essay format. There are videos available on the CVESD website for you to share with your students…here is one to view for now!
    • Questions one could ask to help students generate ideas related to the theme:
      • What does your future look like?
